Coach Amir

Due to hardship in his home country, Amir emigrated to Canada by himself at the age of 14. He lived in various group homes till he was old enough to be able to maintain a job to move out on his own. Amir faced many emotional/psychological struggles along the way.

Due to his love and compassion for helping others, Amir felt a calling to nursing. He eventually put himself through school and finished a registered nursing program. His love of mental health, led him to a career in that field.

For over 20 years Amir has worked in various mental health units across 4 hospitals  in Ottawa, Canada. He has worked with individuals of all ages suffering from acute and chronic mental health ailments including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia and bipolar.

Amir’s love of different people and cultures has led him to a lifetime of travelling. He has travelled to 60 countries around the world, learning, observing, interacting and helping others. This has led to plenty of knowledge to share!

Although Amir continues to practice as a nurse, his compassion to help others has driven him to coaching. He believes he can reach and help more people in that role.
